merry christmas to you!!!^_^ i feel quite guilty that i wasn't able to give gifts to my friends except for those whom i've picked for Kris Kringles. well, i don't have that much money these days and no time to make crafts for them because of our finals during the 2nd week. at least i got to give gifts to my parents, two brothers, and enzo. after, nadamoolah left. a mere hundred bill in my wallet.

one kris kringle that i particularly enjoyed and looked forward to was the one with our Batch Assembly officers. i picked poor, poor lorraine. her disappointment during meetings after seeing what her mommy(me) prepared for her delighted me every week.

Christmas dinner with BA. less than half came but it was fun just the same. karyl asked me to host a game and i did Pinoy Henyo and of course, anlabo ng pinahulaan ko, with statements and words like: "tinga," "Lance Tan," and "Panget ba ako?" wala lang. gusto ko lang sila pahirapan. hehe! thanks, pat, for your amazing roof top!

Sr-C Christmas "party". as always, venue was good old Town(ATC). the whole thing was arranged by dana, of course. she and arlene even prepared xmas cards for each of us, for everyone to write their xmas messages on. really brilliant. we went to alex' place after and did whatever. poker, videoke, inom ng onti.. overall, twas a very mems-able evening. ^_^ missed you, guys. for those who didn't come, well, you missed us. hahah! pics: [x] [x]

i'm done with 30 shirts, now my mom's requesting for 10 more. no prob. here are the pictures:



nakakapagod rin pala! it's harder to print on dark shirts...you have to apply the paint with more force and repetitions. i need more practice with shirt-printing and perhaps new screens. mine are clogged and for some friggin reason, my stripper solution doesn't seem to be able do its purpose of removing photo-emulsion from the screen.

i made myself an "i heart stat" shirt a few months ago and have been wearing it to school. my blockmates actually wanted their own and ordered from me but i can't find black baby tees! my friends are too darn thin. wah! my shirt was actually for men, but my mom used her "creative juices" to make it fit me well. she even cut the sleeves, sewed them back and put messy stitches on the back to have the grunged People are People look.




i've been nagging my mom to buy an electric sewing machine since she knows how to sew and has a lot of ideas. if we get one, then she can make our own clothes and i'll print on them! money = saved. then if we can cater to other clothing orders, well, niiiice. money = mine!!!

okay, speaking of shirts. i have a few ideas in mind-- well, not in mind, in soft-copy --that i would like to have for myself. i did drafts in photoshop and perhaps if i can get the new blank screens i need then i can start preparing the patterns and make them.


it says I'M NOT BORED. but the "i'm not" should be really small and yellow. that one's intentional.

well, well, well... it's 6 days before Christmas, 11 days 'til i'm 19, and 13 days till 2007! (did i count correctly? whatever) did you have a good year? i sure did! excited for the next? hell, yeah!

i even made my own 2007 calendar inspired by the song Seasons of Love. the image is too small but the real thing was printed on an A3 poster paper and rests in my room, waiting to be used.

oh. i already have my 2nd term grades and as expected, i didn't make it to the 3.4-GPA cut for the 1st honors DL. pero DL parin and that's a relief! 3.5 sa lahat except physics (2.5) pero that's sooo better than my projected grade! i thought i would get 1 in physics and 3 for matrix theory and theory of interest so now i'm super thankful that my profs gave me more. nakabawi pala ako sa finals dun. my stathe performance disappointed me a bit, though. 88 lang finals so yeah, asa pa sa 4.0.

sometimes it's good to be contented. good for yourself, that is. good for mood. but for me, i'd rather be pressured. through the years i've realized that i do better when i start hating myself for not trying to be my best. and i'm hating myself now for Stat kasi mababa finals ko when i could've read the instructions more carefully and would've seen the need to include the cummulative distribution functions in my answers! (huhu nasa scratch paper ko lang eh...) that's a lot of deductions. crap. too late...and what college students always say: bawi next term!

i printed shirts for my dad's workers before lunch this morning. still not done. he promised to give me P20 per shirt, so it's 600 for 30! a bit cheap if you ask me, but they provided the materials anyway.

something that doesn't happen very frequently just did. i was bloghopping and stumbled upon arnel's page and as usual, heard "gitara" by parokya (the default tune in his site's music player). then for some reason, the music was loud--loud enough that my laptop couldn't possibly be making the sound. and then ayun! at the exact moment, yun din pala tinutugtog sa Princess Hours. as in sabay na sabay. weird. hehe.

it's not me, it's Saturday.

do you ever feel like saying something and then out of reasons that are obviously unfavorable to you, you can't seem to find the right words? and then after, just right after that opportunity to muster the courage to speak, all the thoughts and emotions and just about the most appropriate statements come rushing back. that's oddly how i'm feeling now. yes, at 8 o'clock in morning. and i actually thought i would have a good day. maybe that's why i'm blogging now. guess i wanted to see these emotions in black and white-- before the feeling escapes me. because really, feelings have perfected the art of fading away even if you don't want them to. but this time, i hate it and would give everything to make it go away.

i feel stupid. from now on, i should have my own reservations. not that i'm someone with that much experience on feeling rather down, but here's a tip: don't feel like anyone else, as in not another soul, is obliged or is responsible for making you feel happy. they're simply actors in our own stories. from troy bolton's words, "you are the playmaker." feeling happy is not something that others do for you, but something that you make yourself feel after someone else has done something good. we are the ones accountable for our emotions.

remember how i said that thoughts and words come back to you after the actual chance of saying it? perhaps it's fate. otherwise, had i not bottled up my thoughts a long time ago, i would have lived a different life. and i'm happy with how i am now. this time, this "happy" feeling... well i'm hoping that it doesn't fade.

wow, i'm actually contradicting myself. i started with saying how we are accountable, and then now fate is. but whatever is, things we say, or in my case, don't say, can affect us greatly in ways we may or may not notice.

alas, the week is OVER. no more late-night theorem-analyses. pathetic. so, updates on the happenings in my uber ordinary life:

xmas parties, xmas dinners, and more xmas meals. it has no end. i thought after finals i'd get to lay off on sweets but noooo, ang daming temptations. Rotary Club of Las Pinas had its xmas party last night and my parents dragged me with them. really, really good food. and not surprisingly, my dad volunteered me to sing a number. i actually brought a minus 1 cassette tape (as instructed by my mom) but apparently, these days' sound systems don't have such "old school" tape decks. i just sang "If I Believe" by Patti Austin from the videoke equipment provided.

today's my first time to go to school and back home twice. and it was quite heavy, financially speaking. my bad, though. i photocopied liselle's stat notes for our quiz and i friggin brought home her notebook! i was relaxing on my bed--kakatae nga lang eh--when she texted and out of guilt and shame, i rode the bus again to school to give it back.

lesson learned: copy notes. completely.

i do have notes, except that at times, my body clock does not permit it. due to unfavorable circumstances, i sometimes arrive at 9am for my 8am Stat class. i didn't have problems going to school as early as 6 during the general elections last school year, but for some reason, 8:00am has this weird force that seems to repel me. yak! this is so physics. haha! enough.

bottomline: i hate 8am classes.

hello, saturday!

if you can call working my ass off in the gym pampering, then yeah, i guess i pampered myself well today. i only did cardio, though, but it's tiring just the same. just try watching a whole movie while running on the treadmill! so there, i watched Daylight, starring Sylvester Stallone. i used to love action films like such, but these days, action movie effects tend to be too unrealistic and beyond my liking.

what's up with our dsl? good thing i am now connected to the wonderful world of web. for 2 days i felt apart from everything..w/o ym. huhu. last thursday, i was planning to have another online group study with my blockmates for our physics quiz. come friday, the test was a bit easier than the first, but still unsatisfying. Dr. Palisoc certainly has a knack for making things more difficult than they really are. hmph.

i got home quite late last night. geli, camille, ivy, kb, joy, and i went to mall of asia and had dinner at Sbarro and temptation won over me. half a slice of cheese pizza was irresistable. i gave the other half to joy and her "friend," joshua. after dinner and a little strolling, we headed to Hotel Philippine Plaza. it's the former Westin. ivy said the management's changed. that's sad.. a lotta mems there, but i'd rather not mention them. sa private blog nalang. ^_^

so yun, coffee coffee lang and acting like typical socialites--which we are not--then lumabas din ang tunay na mga kulay: we sorta played with the hammock and joy's camera. feeling FHM na naman ako. welcome back, Aleck Bovick! harharhar. pictures to follow...

seriously. cramming has taken it's toll on me. i shouldn't be writing in my blog right now. i should be practicing how to get the resistivity of copper! after hours of reading through liselle's photocopied notes, i am ready to hit the bed. hihi! pero nakakatakot humiga, coz for sure mawawala antok ko once i get a comfortable position. that's how it always is. habang nag-aaral, onting higa lang nakakatulog agad. but when it's finally time to visit dreamland..amfness happens. kaya nagblog muna aku..

it's 11:30pm.. havta wake up at..6? leave by 6:30 to get to school in time for another--ack!--meeting at 7:30am. baket ang agaaa?!?! 6:30pm pala may meeting uli. until about 8:30. 8 nalang, sige. so that's more than 12 hours in school...yak. havta wear comfortable shoes.

after 3 livejournal entries, i've decided to move back to blogspot. i'm more comfortable with free html-ing here. it's enough that i've learned to change my LJ layout.

in a while magtutuos na kami ng stat theory at physics. i want to maintain my stat standing and need to pass physics. 35/100... nampuchang score yan. i envy my blockmates who dropped phyfun2 because of the prof. nice move.

last friday, i was standing in line (to see the show tonight and there's a light on heavy glow...joke lang) and waiting to get Liselle's notes photocopied. i paid the xerox lady P100 and was told that she didn't have any change. fortunately, the good-hearted guy next to me offered to give me 20's for my 100.

T_T he said he's teaching French and computer in DLSU and CSB. sabi na gusto nya lang malapit sakin. we had a history, mind. nyay joke lang. it was like seeing claudio valdes, only with more hair and a bit older. heehee.

i was in church this morning and even joined the choir. after the mass my little devlish horns sprouted again-- maude (my choirmate) and i took a pack of ostyas (the thin circular wafers used for communion). feel naman namin hindi na gagamitin eh. baka tira na. sana... i munched on half of my share on the bus ride home. tsktsk.

errr...aral na muna ko. i should be in Bulacan now, fishing, but i told my mom i need to study. so sayonara.. ^_^

rainy day memories

no classes tomorrow = badminton day. after more than a year of not seeing my beloved fake yonex, i finally needed it. it was surprising to realize that my badminton bag still felt heavy, until i opened it. i never thought it carried this much senior year mems. it pretty much told me how disorganized i was (but i guess i was still disorganized in college, until about 2 days ago). papers, papers, and still more papers were inside and it felt quite good to see them. ahh... like i'm back in zobel.

to start doing a task is always the hardest. but once you begin, it gets easier and before you know it, you're done. i finally got my room tidy enough to be inhabited. without clutter. maybe i just found it hard to trash things before, even if i know i won't use them.

here's a new layout! inspired by my fave song from vertical horizon, Best I Ever Had. the past layout, the pink one, was fine but some found it hard to get to the blog part. so now i just made a simple one.

while in my cousin's house in bulacan kanina, i friggin stepped on dog shit! havaianas pa man din suot ko..first time yun..pati mismong paa ko nagkaron. eww. to think before that, kinukulit ko sya na ibigay sakin ung isang puppy na pug. now? NO THANKS. i would never want a dog again.

for the first time, a got 70% in a calculus exam and it's frustrating. now how am i supposed to get a 4.0?! the darn subject's worth 4 units and it'll greatly affect my GPA. *hoping to be in the 1st Honors Dean's Lister this term...* i need 6 consecutive terms in that list to be a candidate for the Jose Rizal Honors Society and now that idea seems quite vague. 3 terms palang... badtrip talaga 'tong term na to, even for the other subjects. i don't blame my extracurriculars. i'm sure it has nothing to do with them. academic negligence is just killing me.

so it's a wet wednesday... classes are suspended! they should've announced the suspension earlier. ugh. now i'm here in Collegian net cafe just across North gate waiting for enzo. that's one good thing about today though: we're goin' to makati and i'll probably accompany him as he shop... haha baliktad =D i'll just worry about studying for my physics exam tonight.

speaking of exams... the hell with INTOSET (introduction to set theory...wtf?!) the class had a median grade of 64%, and 16 failed. i'm hoping for a make-up test. yeah, i passed, pero mababa and sayang naman. with my current standing, there's no way to get a 4.0, and i'm freakin aiming for that.

i finished watching one tree hill season 3 and woohoo! inlavavo na ko lalo kay james lafferty! anak ng patatas na itsura yan... H-O-T. he'll most probably graze my layout next time i change it. ;)

Calculus isn't much fun these days--this term, for that matter. thank you, my dear queer professor and your favorite student, the blackboard. 2 precious butt-against-wood hours are all i can take with him. so it's Leithold and me again... save me..

The first two weeks weren't that stuffed and neither did i go home right after classes. masaya naman tumambay sa school 'til about 5:30.. ;)

i finally accomplished a summer goal: have my room repainted and my stuff in order. well, maybe just the painting part. i still have some of my things in boxes...

it's funny how a near-perfect vacation can turn nasty towards the end. the 7:30pm departure from caticlan port was delayed til what, 1 am? di ko na lam, basta pagod na kaming lahat... all because of the insensitivity of some. katamad na ikwento but that was one of the few times na natakot ako. there could've been a stampede of passengers if it had rained. thank God hindi. =D

our family went to Baguio--again--for the Holy Week and i haven't blogged in a while. and even if i brought my laptop to kill time, i wasn't able to use it that much...and it's my mom's fault! haha! she taught my younger cousins how to play Zuma and Feeding Frenzy at wala na silang ginawa kundi kulitin ako. and so to live in peace i settled with Jerick's gameboy.

Wednesday night--my cousins(the elder ones), paul, and i went to Padi's Point and ordered 4 barrels of SMB, sisig, and kilawin. i didn't drink as much as i expected to...mejo matabang yung beer, di masarap. ate jing said she has a friend working in Padi's (not the branch we're in) and the friend told her they usually put water in the barrel..so mejo may daya pala. two bands played that night. the first one had an excellent male vocalist--in terms of voice quality. but they didn't seem to capture the crowd's party mood because of lack of umm, movements? anyway, the second band was, in my opinion, the better one. and although the vocalists weren't the best voices, they got the people on their feet and the dancing started. and perhaps the bikini-wearing-is-she-in-baguio singer helped get the y-chromosomed perverts bumpin. eto namang mga pinsan kong lalaki and (ACK!) pati si Paul joined the girl who was pole-dancing at the corner. she's from the table next to ours at nakipag-flirt naman mga kasama ko. heheh! pag-uwi sa bahay(still in baguio)... we checked the pictures taken at Padi's and hihi... mas maganda daw yung girl nung nasa corner. in the dark. hirit mga pinsan ko kamuka daw ni PEPAY sa Home Along Da Airport. i don't know, i don't watch that..hehe. although i didn't like the crowd in Padi's that much, i enjoyed the night with my pinsans. this is what i call unwind... /gg.

yesterday(friday) wasn't my first time in Strawberry Farm pero nun lang ako talaga naka-step sa farm na part. and thank my forgetful mind that i didn't get to bring any footgear aside from the slippers i was wearing when we left las piñas. kung nadala ko mas magandang shoes...yun susuotin ko sa farm na SOBRANG PUTIK.buti nalang. but boo, we didn't pick any strawberries... 200 a kilo. sa market nalang! but i had another first sa farm..first time kumain ng strawberry taho. imbis na arnibal, stawberry syrup with strawberries talaga. yum!

anyway...bahay na uli ngayon. and i tried playing Dota. mahirap! pero masaya pag nakakapatay... though most of the time ako yung pinapatay kahit pc palang kalaban ko. kainis! summer naman..practice practice. hah! gotta love the break!

we had our PE Dance finals last saturday and i didn't expect that much people. ang dami pala naming nag PE dance.. i saw myka and sab! sumayaw rin kasi sila nico and gee. waaah! kainggit yung awardees na under Mr. Ronda. nun ko lang naenjoy manood ng ballroom.

about the marinduque trip kyle was offering.. sayang hindi ata matutuloy. sana at least before summer ends may matuloy na outing ang Sr-C...
